Prepared To Teach’s  “Aspiring Teachers’ Financial Burden Survey” was created to capture data that turns anecdotes of hardship into change-making evidence that supports the case for paid clinical practice. Our goal is to understand the financial realities of aspiring teachers as they complete their preparation programs, and to use the lessons learned to create a preparation system with #MoreLearningLessDebt.  

This report details the results of the Spring 2024 survey release across 5 institutions in 4 states. The results of our first survey launch in 2019 is detailed in our report, #MoreLearningLessDebt: Voices of Aspiring Teachers on Why Money Matters.
