Co-Teaching: Enriching the Clinical Practice Experience

Pre-service co-teaching embeds teacher candidates in classrooms alongside an experienced mentor teacher for an entire school year, sharing the planning, lesson delivery, assessment, and reflection of instruction. Intentionally embedding pre-service co-teaching into preparation models provides experiential learning for the teacher candidate and benefits for the entire school community.
